Hello, this is Nagasaka from PalmTrees.
Today, I would like to share a behind‑the‑scenes look at the filming and production work we handled for Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd.,
recording their President’s Message and interview video.

Although we normally operate with AC power, the interview schedule was tight and the recording time was short,
so we filmed using battery power.
I will write about the rig setup in another article,
but for this shoot, we powered the camera with an NPF battery and the monitor with a CIO mobile battery.
Even though the camera can run for about an hour without external power, we supplied power throughout the shoot as a precaution.

This was our second camera setup.
The configuration was mostly the same as the main camera,
but since we wanted a tighter shot for Camera 2,
we used a 50mm lens (75mm equivalent).

For audio, we used a wireless lavalier microphone and recorded into a Tascam DR‑701D.
Because we needed to perform a quick edit at the client’s office immediately after filming,
we also sent the audio feed to the camera via a headphone amp to make syncing easier.
I like this recorder very much, but I am considering upgrading to the ZOOM F8n Pro in the near future.

For lighting, we placed the main light on stage‑left and added one overhead bounce light as support.
(Note: The photos were taken during setup, so the height and positioning differ from the final arrangement.)
At PalmTrees, we provide both interview video production and interview photography—either as separate services or as a one‑stop solution. We can also provide same‑day quick editing and delivery, as we did for this project.
If you are looking for a production team for interview videos or corporate messaging, please feel free to contact us through our website.
Thank you very much for reading. I look forward to seeing you again.
