Hello, this is Nagasaka from PalmTrees. Today, I’d like to share a brief look at one of our recent shooting projects.
In February 2024, the Game Career EXPO 2024—an event in the gaming industry—was held,
and our team was responsible for both event videography and documentary still photography.
For this project, we covered two separate venues, filming both sessions simultaneously while also capturing the overall atmosphere through still photography.
Since the event had two seminar rooms running at the same time, I invited a trusted freelance videographer we regularly work with, allowing us to operate with a two‑camera setup.
Shooting Setup

For event videography and seminar recording, we primarily use:
- SONY FX30
- SONY α6700
Audio was recorded through an external audio recorder, and the workflow followed our usual process: shooting → audio capture → editing.
However, many videographers are more accustomed to XDCAM, so depending on the operator, we can shoot with both mirrorless cameras and XDCAM,
adapting to the needs of each project.
During breaks between sessions, we also captured still photos of the venue and overall atmosphere.
Since I originally come from a still photography background, we are able to provide both video and stills as a one‑stop service.
※ For this project, there was no dedicated still photography request for the event itself,
so I captured stills during breaks. If full still photography coverage is required, we can assign a dedicated photographer.

Possible Shooting Configurations
Depending on the project, we can offer various setups such as:
- 1 video camera + 1 still camera
- 2 video cameras + 1 still camera
- 1 fixed video camera + 1 still photographer
- …and more, tailored to your needs.
If you are considering event videography or still photography, we would be happy to discuss the best plan for your event.
hank you for reading. We look forward to working with you again.
